It took longer than we intended, but the final version is ready to go. We’ve been playtesting the past year, working through the finer points, and cleaning up the text. While not formally edited (that’s one thing the Kickstarter will fund), the MS Word Editor Tool seems satisfied. At just over 35K words, that’s a pretty good place to be.
We still have a lot to do before we launch the Kickstarter, but the game is feature complete and ready for general play.
For virtual play, we have a MapTool Framework which we will share in the next couple of weeks (a few more bugs to squash which we should resolve after our 12/17 playtest session).
We also have planned a Foundry module to support that VTT. This will be Kickstarter funded, as will Roll20.
The first themepack which we will also have ready for the Kickstarter is Beyond Hope and Reason for investigative horror. Themepacks are two-page thematic guides that provide any special features to add to the Core Rules to support a particular setting or game style. This we’ve been playtesting for the last year, running the Spawn of Azathoth campaign from Call of Cthulhu and it has been, well, wonderfully disturbing. We have a spin on Lovecraftian Horror that offers players a little more hope than usual, so I hope you will enjoy it.
